HEAT INSULATION
HEAT INSULATION
Navigation
Specific uses
-
Creation of a steam barrier, to prevent concealed condensation
-
Thermal insulation of walls, partition walls and ceilings
- Increased useful living area with elimination of the air gap and protective partition
- Reduced load on structure
- Insulation of heat bridges
- Prevents rising damp from sub-soil or rain
General installation
The following mortars are recommended to install POLYDROS cellular glass:
• Standard coarse-grain building plaster (YG/L) commonly as cement, dark or rough plaster.
• Asphalt emulsion mortar mixed with 10% powdered dark cement.
• Before using other mortars, please consult our technical division.
Where walls or ceiling are plaster-dressed the surfaces must be roughened to ensure the new mortar will adhere.
We always recommend that “POLYDROS” cellular glass plates be packed, ensuring that no plaster remains on seals.
NOTE: Recommendations on use, procedures and details are based on POLYDROS, S.A.’s knowledge and experience with its cellular glass plates, and are given in good faith, as assistance and guidance for Architects and Builders. However, although supplier of “POLYDROS” cellular glass plates, POLYDROS S.A. has no control over their installation and so therefore accepts no responsibility whatever for these recommendations. In particular, it accepts no responsibility for the system used or the installation methods.
ISOLATION OF WALLS
Saves to the protective partition, steam barrier…
THERMAL ISOLATION OF BRIDGES
With minimum thickness, saving the steam barrier…
ISOLATION OF CEILINGS
Saves the false ceiling of support, steam barrier…
GROUND ISOLATION
Steam barrier, waterproof,…
