Outside insulation of walls in both new and rehabilitated buildings is the correct insulation solution, creating a surrounding layer which insulates all the building’s constructive components.

“POLYDROS” cellular glass plates are rigid, a steam barrier and non-capillary, making them the ideal heat insulation for installation on the outside of walls.

“POLYDROS” cellular glass plates are installed with Sika Top 121 or Flexmortel, packing the whole plate surface. The exposed side of the “POLYDROS” cellular glass plate is painted with bituminised paint, and allowed to dry.
When this operation is completed, holes are drilled in the centre of each plate, through the “POLYDROS” cellular glass and penetrating about 50 mm into the wall, then a 13 x 13 mm galvanised electrowelded mesh is fitted and secured to the wall with metal attachments
The desired finish is then added (roughcast, one-coat, etc.)
